Jauné Jackson is an award-winning network showrunner, producer and journalist. Jauné has national impact with her newscasts, live productions, documentaries and her presence on social media.
Currently, she is the senior producer of Main & Wall and The National Report on Scripps News.
Jauné has produced and contributed to broadcasts and programming on CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ESPN, HLN, Court TV and Bounce TV. She also had a key role in the national launch of Scripps News.
Most recently, Jauné helped lead live national coverage of the verdict in Former President Trump's hush money trial. With her leadership in the control room, Scripps News was the first national tv network to report the jury's decision.
She was recognized with an Emmy for her leadership during coverage of the tornado that destroyed part of New Orleans. She is also the recipient of multiple other awards, including two Edward R. Murrow Awards and The Society of Professional Journalists' prestigious Sigma Delta Chi Award. Jauné has been recognized by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The Associated Press, The National Association of Black Journalists, The Louisiana Broadcasters Association and The Press Club of New Orleans. She is also a Poynter Institute-trained journalist and producer.
Jauné has solo produced hours of live broadcasts, leading teams during some of the most critical moments in modern history. She has also led coverage of multiple presidential visits, elections, debates, severe weather events, telethons, NBA and NFL games, including the Super Bowl and the Olympics. She has also produced hours of live Mardi Gras coverage and reported from the Miss USA Pageant.
She is the owner and creative lead of Creole Magnolia Media, a boutique strategic media relations and production company.
Jauné is a member of The National Association of Black Journalists (New Orleans & Atlanta chapters), The Press Club of New Orleans, The Society of Professional Journalists, ForbesBLK, The Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale, Atlanta GLOW, Start The Adventure In Reading and numerous other professional, social and community organizations in New Orleans, Atlanta and Chicago.
